Van Stadens Resort

If you ever find yourself in South Africa close to Port Elizabeth, do yourself a favour and visit Van Stadens resort. It is open for day visitors, but if you want to take in all that it has to offer, I suggest you stay a night or two.

It is secluded, safe and a great place to take children in the summer months. Enjoy a barbecue (or braai as we call it) with some local South African wine and let nature take over.

Activities include, but not limited to:

  • Paddle boat hires
  • Canoe hires
  • Sand-boards hires
  • Paddle skis hires
  • Swimming in the lagoon
  • Walk along the beach and watch one of the most beautiful sunsets South Africa has to offer (in my opinion)
  • Buy ice cream from the local cafe (stocked with the essentials. If you need anything else, Blue Horizon Bay is just a 5 min drive away)
  • Climbing the famous sand dune opposite the lagoon and experience another great view over the resort and beach
  • Go fishing
  • Trampolines (children under 12)

AMAZING SUNSETS!!!!!!!
